Meet our 2019 scholarship winners

Kaitlyn Deere – Health Sciences

“I plan on applying to an occupational therapy graduate program and will hopefully be accepted into Ohio State’s program. I want to be an occupational therapist in an outpatient, rehabilitation setting.

I am so incredibly thankful for all the opportunities Ohio State and its donors have been able to give me. I would have not been able to come to main campus and experience this college life without all of the generosity and support I have received in the last three years!  Thank you for your support to The School of Health and Rehabilitation Sciences Alumni Scholarship Fund.”

Jack Reifenberg – Health Sciences

“I started off as a biomedical engineering student on the pre-med track, but felt that I was missing something in my studies. I wanted to learn more about the healthcare community I would one day be working in, and decided to switch my major to Health Sciences. I have loved the opportunity to learn about hospital systems and healthcare in the US. While learning the sciences are important for my future, I feel that I have a much more holistic understanding of the state of healthcare in America as a result of my studies in Health Sciences.

I want to say thank you. You have empowered me to pursue my dreams of becoming a physician. Your support is directly helping me cover the expense of applying to and interviewing at medical schools. With this scholarship I can help relieve the financial burden of that process. Your gift is a special one that I am very grateful for.”
